Album Review: Slave One "Disclosed Dioptric Principles"

So, here we have the debut album, Disclosed Dioptric Principles of the French Progressive Death Metal band Slave One. This isn't your everyday DM album, although the number of bands trying new things within the genres acceptable boundaries has increased, you still don't find many albums of this kind.
First of all, the cover art. Its a beautiful piece, the mythological / stellar crossover art perfectly reflects what the album is about. It has a metaphysical /mythological aspect  with a scientific approach, often intertwined, not the first one but an interesting one at that.
The album has a very up-beat feel to it, they've refrained from using pig-squeals, which in my opinion, is a rather smart move, when majority of the new bands use the same. They do possess a resemblance to early Decapitated / Aeon, although some might feel that they are over produced. They could've been tuned down a little. The instrumentation has been interesting throughout the album, especially the bass and the drums. The drummer has successfully managed to engross the listener into his innovative cymbal work. The band has incorporated various other instruments, including sitars, bongos, and some others which my amature ear has not been able to recognize. The tracks are not excessivley fast  paced, and the lack of dissipated guitar sweeps is rather refreshing. There's an interesting array of fills and solos spanning across the album, the guitarist has done a good work. Also, the band has used vocal patches on multiple occasions, unique to the respective songs, adding to the overall track structure.
Now, the intro,  "Deus Otiosus". The vocals give you just the idea of the mythological theme of the song, this one being Brahma. Deus Otiosus literally means, the absent god, or Brahma, in the Hindu mythology. Some might find the vocals a little unnerving, but that serves as a pretty good intro to the album, you'll know which direction the album will be following. The song features particularly interesting, we'll co-ordinated instrumentation.
The next couple of tracks are "The Antikythera Mechanism" and "Obsidian Protocol Achievement", respectively. They're every bit progressive, there's catchy yet unique drum work going on behind the layers of guitar, you can hear him commanding the cymbals. The riffs serve as a build-up to the relatively slower melodic passages, which follow every verse, accompanied by lead guitar fills that add an eerie nature to "The Antikythera Mechanism". The other song has a rather anticipated and emotional section close to the 3:10 mark, which rightly leaves the listener for some more feel worthy music. These tracks very well conform to the direction the album is following.
The next song is "For Shiva Whispered The Universe". Its worth noting, that the band has a particular interest in, not only Indian, but any mythology which shows the interaction of sentient beings with the world they live in, which is often so alike. This song has very desolate, esoteric chants which engulf the listener and it feels as if it's the invoking of the Gods themselves. It kinda has a cheeky semblance to "संहार रक्त काली" from Cult of Fire's 2013 record "मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान". This song presents very indulging guitar fills, accompanying the chants.
The fifth song off the album is "Aeon Dissonance". Some of the most interesting bass work of the album, tried by many bands, which leads to abrupt chaotic riffs, this band seems to have countered that relatively better than the others, the transition is smooth, so honestly they're just not being progressive for the sake of it. There's a certain amount of musicianship to it. The main riff, on the other hand, inspite of not being too complex, sounds good.
The sixth and possibly the best song off of the album, is "Liquid Transcedental Echoes". So Much prog. Probably the proggiest (yes I used that word) of them all. Its nearly 11 and a half minutes long, and one wouldn't find a single minute boring. This song has pretty much all the desirable elements of the album, sums up the whole thing pretty well, the musical direction, the instrumental prowess of the band and what not. Could've been a possible conclusion track for the album (which i'll come to later, further down the read). There's alluring guitar riffs, layered vocals, and melodies which send you right down the feel lane. The chants close to the 6:10 - 6:20 mark are quite an addition. You hear the sitar in the background, almost holds you captive, for the sitar being a grand instrument of its own right. The guitars then kick in at just the right time, tailed by ghastly whispers, chants and the multiple instruments used, give a whole new dimension to the track. At 9:40 when you think the song's over, they hit you with another appealing section of music.
The final, conclusive track of the album is "Degenesis". A wide spectrum of instruments has been put to effect, layering one over the other. You don't hear these instruments used in DM everyday. The vocal patch is something I failed to understand, would've been easier if I knew how to speak French, but that's nothing to worry about, se détendre. This track could've served the purpose of connecting two parts of the album, and some would've opted for a different track to finish the album, but Its not a bad choice of a track anyway.
You can definitely sense the effort the band has put into the production. Each of the instruments is clearly audible, not being overshadowed by any other. The vocals have been consistent throughout the album, using multi layers and other nifty little things was a nice touch. Now, the reason why this abum might put off some listeners is that some might not enjoy the palm muted guitars. That's not everyone's cup of tea. There's a certain risk factor involved when bands use uncommon instruments, some might not understand the appeal, while some might not enjoy it at all. On the other hand, tech death fans will flock to this album, would listen to it on repeat, and that's for sure. Most of the casual listeners will enjoy this, the cult fans (unironically speaking) might stay put with the album. But, at the end of the day, this album is definitely worth a spin.

CRIMENA releases new music video for "Mutawwa"

"Mutawwa"is the 3rd single song unleashed by violent groove metal band CRIMENA and it's also the first official recording that features their new vocalist - Indonesian born Bagus "Bob" Stesa.

Featured on their debut album, "Chapter One: Divine Betrayal"(previously reviewed here on Metalhead Spotted),  "Mutawwa" is a conceptual song that aims to expose the immoral dogmas that fuel the existence of the controversial mutaween (Islamic religious police). The record as a whole is a huge slap to all forms of organised religion and "Mutawwa" might quite be the epitome of it.

It turns out that new vocalist Bob impacted the band's identity in a very interesting and positive way; since his induction in the pack, CRIMENA has done a handful of gigs and the man has been warmly welcomed by the public. Nonetheless his vocals display a very dominating, raw and ruthless sound that perfectly fits the band's musical orientation.

While exposing a piece of the young scene from the city of Craiova (Romania), the video also indicates a group that is continuously growing and pushing forward, regardless of what obstacles, these guys turn them into opportunities and that pinpoints the maturity of the now 4 year old project that is CRIMENA.

Never wasting time, the strive to record a 2nd album has already began and according to the band's social media activity, there are some positive vibes that foretell new music and touring.

"Chapter One: Divine Betrayal" is available for purchase on google playitunesamazoncdbaby.

Radu - Lead Guitar
Robert "Macarena" - Rhythm Guitar

Ulrich recently spoke to Citizens Of Humanity magazine about the musical direction of the group's long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic". He said: "It definitely sounds like METALLICA. It's probably a little less frenetic than the last record. The last one [producer] Rick Rubin really encouraged us to for the first time be inspired by our past. It was the first time we sort of looked in the rearview mirror. This time around it's a little bit of a different thing."
Ulrich continued: "We're not working with Rick, we're working with the engineer from the last record, who's producing, Greg Fidelman. So there's some of the same production elements at play, but we're expanding a little bit on the sonics. It's probably a bit more of a diverse record than the last one. It's exciting, but I don't have quite the perspective yet."
Ulrich also addressed the eight-year gap between studio albums, the longest of the band's career, by saying: "I think what's happened is our families and our domestic responsibilities are so important to us now, so we just have a new model. We're sort of constantly doing something but never to the point of the needle going in the red, but METALLICA really hasn't sort of shut down since around 2005, and it's a model that works for us."
He added: "We never work at 110 percent to the point where we drive ourselves nuts, but are sort of constantly working at two-thirds, you know — when we make the record we're writing and we're recording, but we're doing it incrementally. There's always stuff going on. It's the way we like it. It keeps us engaged."
Ulrich told The Pulse Of Radio not long ago that METALLICA no longer wants to devote large chunks of time to any one project. "You know, METALLICA, in order for it to be true and pure and honest, has to be fun," he said. "And so the days of, you know, writing for a year and then recording for a year and then going on the road for three years — those kind of endlessly long cycles — they're just behind us. I don't think we have the stamina to do anything for those elongated periods of time any longer."
METALLICA worked on the new disc on and off over the past few years, in between other projects that included a series of short tours, a film, the restoration of some of their early albums and other projects.

CRIMENA - "Chapter One : Divine Betrayal" album review

Bob (vocals); Macarena (rhythm g); Radu (lead g); Cristi (drums); Vali (bass g)

Groove Metal may seem to have lost some it’s might in the main frame during the course of the last decade, it fell a bit into the shadows of the days when Pantera were scorching the realm or after Lamb of God took the torch and kept delivering, but, it still somehow seems that the sub genre has fallen back to the underground pit from where they all start from. So it ain’t no need for drama because there’re still good groove metal outfits out there in the dark, that are fighting the fight and walking the walk to make a come-up.

And one of them may be a southern Romanian five pack that goes by the name of CRIMENA (“hidden” – Greek), hailing from the city of Craiova, they have been burning full throttle since their inception that occurred nearly 4 years ago – what started out as more of a joke, continued with 3 months of jam sessions, rehearsals and line-up changes and it culminated with the band’s first gig. Receiving positive feedback for the violent flavour of groove metal that incorporates elements from icons such as The Haunted, Pantera, LoG or Sepultura, CRIMENA grew after every stage appearance; constantly gigging and touring, being present at every minor and major festival in the country, always giving 200% - it was a matter of time before the band would become an elite name in the local underground.

And so they did! However, the release of their debut album “Chapter One: Divine Betrayal” (March 2016) came with an up and down – they signed with The Leaders Records, but witnessed the departure, due to personal reasons, of their original vocalist Cosmin Gramescu (credited for the lyrics and vocals on the album). Fortunately, Indonesian born Bagus “Bob” Stesa, who’s been living in Craiova for several years but without any local notoriety, quickly stepped out of the shadows and filled the void. His vocals (soon to be heard on official recordings) blended perfectly with the band’s music, developing good chemistry on stage. Due to his origins, Bob helped the band attract attention from various Asian music media outlets, bands and fans alike. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see CRIMENA touring far East anytime soon.

  • Album release party. Slightly right former vocalist Cosmin (The Black Dahlia Murder hoodie) and current vocalist Bob. Still one big family.

“Chapter One: Divine Betrayal”. A bit of a funny story is that the name of the album was chosen even before the band’s name.

So, the fact that this record is finally here is an obvious testament of the album’s conceptual approach and its integrity, being fully thought out from day 1.

The artwork - God hanged by the gates of heaven - clearly indicates the lyrical focus – religion. Organised religion, not just Christianity.

CRIMENA wishes to expose all the wrongs that humanity has faced due to fundamentalist religion through time.

As the intro song “Quemadero” kicks in, you'll encounter an excerpt from world famous ethologist, author and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, who was delighted to have his voice on the record. Considering the story behind the name of the album and the lyrical content, it's clear that what we have here is a conceptual album - all tracks have a story and a meaning - Quemadero de Tablada was an execution site for the first inquisitors built in 1418 in Seville, Spain; and it's architect (being a follower of Judaism) was the first victim of the Inquisition. Now that's some trippy shit!

Jumping up the ladder to another track with a self describing name that is "Muttawwa" - referring to the controversial mutaween (Islamic religious police), often criticised for radical behaviour in enforcing the Sharia law in respect to religious behaviour. Straight up and outspoken lyrically, very upbeat, this song comes right off the bat with a rugged and devastating approach.

"The Bitter Pill" is the band's first single song unleashed prior to the album, giving a good insight of what would come after, featured on BlankTV, it quickly became a fan favourite.

In terms of musical characteristics, as previously mentioned, CRIMENA took what they wanted from the giants of the genre and mixed it up into a style that is still in the process of becoming thoroughly their own. As the vocals incline towards Randy Blythe's style, there will definitely be a new approach on the future releases due to the change in the vocal department. Still, the instrumental realm is filled with great displays of rawness, catchy hooks and grooves and a dominating sound that'll kick your teeth out; and it gets worse when experienced live mode. I know, I've seen it one too many times.

"Gospel (of the unbeliever)" is the second track honoured with a music video, it's my very favourite track of the record and the video (compared to the DIY one from "The Bitter Pill") clearly shows the transition from an underground band with little to no budget to a group that is aiming to turn pro. As far as the song goes, CRIMENA once again aim to expose their violent and upbeat blend of groove, culminating with a solo that's definitely the spearhead of track. Props to lead guitarist Radu Zugravu for his ingenuity not just regarding solos and riffs, but overall songwriting - this dude is a maniac.

All in all, the musical aspect is just one of the main positive characteristics that define CRIMENA. Sometimes the journey is as much as important as the destination (result) - the band was born out of a joke, but ironically it became a great asset in times of need for the local scene in Craiova, which was truly dead and buried at that particular time - no significant active bands, no venues that would host rock/metal gigs, no public. It was the person who you would least expect, the bass player (Vali), that took matters into his own hands trying to convince venue owners to let him host gigs, and thus build a new scene from scratch.
4 Years later, Craiova is one of the most "alive" cities in the country when it comes heavy metal music - very young and numerous public - bands that go there (either from Romania or abroad) always have words of praise for the never boring group of people that attend. And most of the credit should clearly go to the southern Romanian 5 pack.

Ruggedly handsome grunge rock from Soul Inclination

On this month Delhi based Indian Grunge/Alternative rockers Soul Inclination released their debut EP. They are Determined to bring back the long lost era of the late 80's/early 90's Grunge/Alt Rock.Let’s introduce with the band at first. Soul Inclination was initially founded by Puneet Vohra (ex-Hundred Octane) & ex band member Aditya Verma, who after moving on from his last band, sought out music that he has always been true to. A super group of sorts, with members honed with a little over a decade of experience in the independent music industry, presently comprises of Shashank Bhatnagar on Vocals/Rhythm guitars (Undying Inc/Hyperion/Broadway Brawler), Nishant Hagjer on Drums/Vocals (Undying Inc/Rectified Spirit/Underside/Nishant Hagjer), Ashish Sharma on Bass (Frequency/Tin Bizkit).
This is my first review about some Grunge/Alternative rock band’s release. So It’s kinda challenging for me. But believe me after listening their whole EP I’m totally infused by them and their debut EP rekindle my love for late 80’s/early 90’s grunge band like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains etc. They sound so mature so it is hard to believe that it is their debut EP and they prove that they can sustain their excellence. well,Let’s straight dive into their EP. This new studio effort consist with total 4 tracks.
From start to end the band's classic heavy , slow burn riffs and vocal harmonies ever present here. Their latest EP smoothly transitions you from dot A to B without any glaring mishaps or unnecessary interruptions. While other artists have incorporated other said musical genres, Soul Inclination have stuck to the beautifully apocalyptic, ruggedly bad-ass sound of grunge. The EP touches on a lot of subject matter, serious topics and other sincere, passionate lyrical themes. However, don't assume this album is entirely groggy and depressing, because it most certainly isn't plenty of themes here are actually quite optimistic and incredibly reflective. This record used standard instruments (guitars, bass, vocals) and turned them into something unique, distinctive, and incredibly profound. The music here is perfect grunge with a nice metal kick.
Soul Inclination effortlessly showcases grunge at its most primitive, and manages to sculpt itself into something catastrophically beautiful and unique. However, sometimes, I could honestly describe this album as full-fledged alternative metal. Despite the EP's rather intimidating outfit, the music here is beautiful to say the least. Every track is eventful in musicality, precisely detailed, and wonderfully composed. The EP's unpredictability gives it a tasteful gist; this isn't a straightforward rock record, as many songs here include many complexly arranged guitar, acoustic solos, intense apexes, and a lot of musical legroom. Whatever they end up proceeding with, they have managed to surprise the listener with a new trait or guitar lick.
A good example of genre splicing would have to be intro track "Who’s your God?", a heavy metal infused tune with a blurry atmosphere and grunge. On this track vox sometimes reminds me about  Phil Anselmo to be honest.Together Soul Inclination  manage to blend grunge with the likes of heavy metal and turn it into a unique hybridization of its own kind. This whole EP’s all tracks are briliant, and easily deserve high recolonization as well. Among all of the track the band takes a turn down a more melancholic path on the acoustic-led “Running Today” . “Return To Self” is my personal favorite track. This tracks riffs work is amazing. The album's strongest moments sit at the endpoints. The band chose their singles well with “Born of a Sun” track. This is an outstanding track consist with eerie instrumental work. Overall the whole EP is filled with dazzling solos, brilliant melodic acoustic work, and remarkable vox. Soul Inclination includes provocative guitar, acoustic solo. it's basically bad-ass sounding and will more than likely drive you to say "Fuck yeah!!!" again and again
The album's emotional centerpiece, in my opinion " Born of a Sun ". This track is downright beautiful, bar none. Branching off with fluttery guitars and a soft rhythm section, the instrumental song eventually ignites eerie instrumental work, melancholic acoustic solo.Coupled with obvious pain and sorrow, it's pretty obvious that Shashank Bhatnagar put his heart and soul into this track.
The members' technical abilities are great, too; each member contributes almost equally to the power of the experience musically, and they react to any quick changes in the songs very efficiently and effectively. Of course, the highest praise still has to go out to Shashank Bhatnagar and guitarist Puneet Vohra for creating such a foreboding and deep atmosphere on the album. Most of the time, both of them go hand in hand with each other, tossing parts of the songs to each other and also harmonizing extremely well with each others' vocals.
There's not much more to say. The album is perfect, one of ultimate musical statements of modern music. Aside from those highlights, much of the whole EP stays in its lane, without tempting too many tempo or mood changes. Each song has highlights of its own, but I feel the band has gotten a little too comfortable with its formula here. The better moments certainly carry the EP enough to make it a good one. But I would hope Soul Inclination will allow their own wings to spread with more excellent studio effort in each next record. If you haven't listened to it yet, make it your next purchase; it should be number one on the "to buy" list.

In before death metal presented in various forms. Nowadays bands are experiment with their musical style continuously with candied old-school imitators. Death metal does not stagnate in a constant form. Some challengers exist, such as Inverted Matter, a brilliant addition to the death metal roster.

Though still  their upcoming album artwork and album name is top secret so we have to wait some more days for it. As on the first album Ivan Odorico (former Slowmotion Apocalypse, Fake Idols) will be featured as guest lead guitarist on some tracks. They have entered studio for recording session in Summer 2016.

Their sophomore album artwork given below:
This new tracks whole composition, production is extremely filthy and relentlessly unforgiving .At first listen it floored me with their dreaded amalgamation which leads to a hammerin  old School blunt force trauma with heavy riffs, hyped pedal thrusts. I was lookin for this type of harshest slabs of death metal. This whole track enthralled me with  their Unrelenting ,powerful, blasting ,overarching, chromatic, chaotic, rugged, critical acclaimed death metal sound  and dense musical style and this rekindle my affection, obsession for death metal. This bands each and every musician exudes tremendous effort in radiant way on this album with excellent diligence and nailed it. They have injected technical riffs works, dark and dirge vibes into aural bashing, furious, fast death metal with strangulated riffs work simultaneously that burns with oppressive fervor. I ‘m too much hyped for their latest studio effort. I’ve a lil bit talk with Inverted’s member Andrea Tocchetto and he said that “Composition wise, we've just ultimate the new album”. Lookin forward till the date of release. cheers.

Already  they have unveiled a track entitled “Bound By Blood” from their upcoming full length album entitled “Empires Of Ash”.This new album’s exotic artwork designed by the excellent Jordan Grimmer.

I’ve never imagined how good they might sound if someone smashed them together into one song with both parts(epic  folk and atmospheric black metal) being done extremely well. This new track consist with elements of atmospheric black metal along with epic metal elements like a flute worked amazingly well together and only because Sojourner knew exactly the kind of sound they wanted and they fucking knew exactly how to get that sound perfectly.

New track link is given below:

Their bandcamp link also given below:

Here is their Facebook page link:

I highly suggest this band to any black metal fans, epic metal fans, and just fans of all metal because this song is something that deserves to be heard all over.

Report: OZZY And SHARON OSBOURNE Split After 33 Years Of Marriage

According to E! News, Ozzy Osbourne and his wife of 33 years, Sharon Osbourne, have split up.

A source has told E! News that the couple mutually agreed that Ozzy would move out of their house temporarily.

The report states that the couple's breakup is not related to Ozzy's sobriety. The BLACK SABBATH singer has apparently been sober for three and a quarter years.
British tabloid newspaper The Sun reports that Sharon left Ozzy after she accused the musician of having an affair with a celebrity hairstylist.

The couple's spokesman, Gary Farrow, did not address the infidelity claims, but issued the following statement to The Huffington Post U.K.: "At this time, Ozzy is not at the marital home."

A source told People that the rumors of the split are "sort of true," but added that they would not be surprised if Ozzy and Sharon worked out their differences. "He'll be back," the source said.

This is not the first time Sharon and Ozzy have separated. Back in 2013, Sharon admitted she was considering divorcing Ozzy after he relapsed on drink and drugs. She spoke about the rumors on during an episode of her U.S. talk show "The Talk", saying that everything written about their split had been "distorted."

"We're not getting divorced," she continued. "However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes I am. I'm devastated right now.

"We're dealing with it," she continued, speaking about Ozzy's much-publicized battles with drugs. "We've dealt with worse. We're dealing with it and this too shall pass."
Ozzy has previously credited Sharon for saving his life. "I'm alive because I've got a strong wife, I think," he said. "I didn't expect to live past 30. I remember when I was 21 saying I would be dead by 40. That was all right until I was 39½."

As part of his recovery, Ozzy was going to daily AA meetings which he said was the only way he can stay sober. "Sharon tells me I'm a bloody fool and screams at me when I'm drinking, but that doesn't stop me," he told DailyMail.co.uk. "But she supports me, she knows it's an illness, she knows it's part of who I am and it's only me who can deal with it and it's because I don't want to lose what I have with Sharon and the kids that I do it. No one else can cure an addict but the addict."

After Ozzy was fired from BLACK SABBATH in 1979 because of substance abuse and erratic behavior, Sharon became his solo career manager, and then his girlfriend. The two were married on July 4, 1982.

The couple's early relationship has been described as volatile, with Ozzy blacking out and almost strangling Sharon after a five-day Vodka binge in 1989.

Ozzy and Sharon have three children: Aimee, 31; Kelly, 29; and Jack, 28.

Album Review :~ Zhrine - Unortheta

Icelandic purveyors of chaos and wrath, bringer of darkness Zhrine unleashed their debut full length album entitled “Unortheda” in the beginning of this month via Season of Mist record label. Zhrine have ended the trilogy with a bang. Mixing black metal with avant garde together, with even a bit of progressive and death metal, was always their forte. New album is filled with more unearthly, astounding, critical acclaimed, heavy, claustrophobic misery ,enigmatic melodies to show just how pathetic the human black metal scene is when compared to superior beings from the distant stars. This new album is consist with 7 tracks.Basically Zhrine was formed in 2007 and active till 2014 as “Gone Postal” Later they’ve changed their name as Shrine and active from 2015 as Zhrine. They have been slinging noxious, elevated Icelandic extreme metal since before anyone was really looking to the wintery island nation .Certain Icelandic bands were able to gain proper attention and Zhrine appeared becoming a well established group of bands who can make a fully sound and creative and with a lot of poetry in his lyrics, with well crafted, distinct content . Already Sororicide,Svartidaudi,Misthyrming is successful and well renowned Icelandic band easily “Zhrine” became one of my favorite Icelandic band with their mystique and epic musical style . now I’m straight diving to the point about this new album .

This new albums whole compositions are extremely filthy and unsettling piece of sinister euphoria and unearthly ambiance .when at first I’ve checked out their first released track “Spewing Gloom” from this album I was just overwhelmed and to be honest this album was one of my long awaited, anticipated album of this year  because I haven’t listened this type of harshest slabs of black/death metal for a long time. This bands each and every members are excellent musician appreciate their unsurpassed quality, ability and skill. All of their tremendous effort portrayed in this album in radiant way with excellent diligence and nailed it. After a multiple listen their latest studio effort  infused me with  their Unrelenting, powerful, blasting ,overarching, chromatic, chaotic , multi-layered ,ultra-dense,monolithic death metal musical style laced with blackened, gloomy atmospheric vibe just  blew me away . Their musical style have a hypnotic effect and especially  melancholic style which adds to the more atmospheric kind of black/death metal but at the same time the vocals and other parts of the riffing is straight forward furious simultaneously .
This whole album reflects the grand diversity of sound brought together on this album . It is really not easy to describe their complex musical style . Black Metal with unconventional influences enjoys indeed tend quite popular .A natural synthesis of dissonant sounds and disparate styles all combined in one bold, enlightened display of unbound creativity. Despite the often fast ,furious, cacophonous ,heavy and barbarous form of black metal assaults  laced with dark eerie, gloomy  and occult  atmosphere with a lots of segments of slower,mid-paced tempo too where Zhrine combines cavernous drum thrashes, melancholic guitars ,previously mentioned all  aspects  enriched this album that is very powerful, strong and excellent all at the same time along with a good  balance  of black/death metal music, melody and brutality with strangulated ,filthy, thick, doomy riffs work and those effective rasps simultaneously borrow blackened, gloomy, sinister vibe. I highly appreciate and embrace this album because of their distinct style .
well, this albums opening track “Utopian Warfare” starts with sonic assailment, obtuse, grotesque, atmospheric sound followed by an onslaught of tremulous ,dark eerie, savage riffs  and a wall of blast beating ,spectacular drums laced with aggression, deliberate cadence . Their whole composition and musical style is impeccable also borrow great atmosphere. They have injected doom, black metal vibes into furious death metal style.Their musical representation evolves into souls wandering vicious, crushing and ominous wasteland . This whole album gives u pitch-black feel from beginning to the end and I warn you this is a gloomy journey.
This album is filled with a slew of cadence, apocalyptic, squalid, ominous, hellish, doom laden, filthy, crawling, slow but powerful riffs work . As well bass line up is whopping, intense,Chaotic ,rumbling .  Drumming, percussion line up is bleak, frantic, solid, clattering and powerful .  In each track breathtaking, morbidly delicious, scalding, macabre, soaring riffs, bass lineups matched in well manner with hellish, devilish chords and horror, mournful sounds are rightly used as an additional uncanny harmonic layer. The most striking thing you’ll notice about the sound of Zhrine is the air of melancholy that quite literally drips from the noise they create . This whole albums sound  deliver a dissonant, grim feeling, sinister, melancholic, gruesome black/death metal with raw emotion and pure energy . “Unortheda”  endures beauty of black/death metal . This album indulge strong songwriting and brilliant musicianship . This album have a hypnotic effect on the listener . Vocals large, inhuman voice that does well for Zhrine . Vocals howling scream, hoarse ,snarling, sneering , deep rasps , deep lung-burning roars, immense voice emerged on this album in a well manner and intertwined perfectly with their utterly  spellbinding, obtuse, bizarrely arrogant, mysterious, fully blistering, grandiose  death metal, distant musical style with a lots of melodic, atmospheric, doomy  accompaniment  and  embedded perfectly . Overall you will get  sinister, gloomy, desolate, mysterious ambient from this whole album . I really worship this band .
Each song have an energy ,fluency and  draw a savage landscape .Stand out tracks are all of them . I personally Cherish Utopian Warfare,Spewing Gloom,The Earth Inhaled,The Syringe Dance track those are remarkable, appreciable too.  Album artwork is atrocious, grisly, indelible . Overall “Unortheda” whole album is Spectacular, engrossing ,significant, rich . This album sounds so authentic  and a truly remarkable sonic journey from beginning to end . Indeed this album is such an true gem of this year . I’ll say this whole album is aesthetics of death metal .Outstanding another one release of this year so far .This is highly recommend to add it in your collection .If you are looking for  something different, epic this pure unadulterated black/death metal album is perfect and it will take you on a journey into another universe . so, enter the void and I am sure definitely u will come out stronger, darker, gloomier than ever before.

Iranian Musicians Jailed, Facing Possible Execution For Playing Metal

Members of Iranian band Confess have reportedly been arrested for playing metal music. According to a message received by a metal news source, two musicians from Confess were arrested back in November 2015 and could potentially face execution for charges of blasphemy.

Metal Nation Radio
posted a letter sent in by an associate of Confess. The author’s name has been censored for his/her own safety. Frontman ‘Siyanor [-13]’ and DJ ‘Chemical’, ages 23 and 21, were allegedly arrested by the Army of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution on Nov. 10, 2015. The charges against the duo read as blasphemy; advertising against the system; forming and running an illegal and underground label in the satanic metal and rock style; writing anti-religious, atheistic, political and anarchistic lyrics; and interviewing with forbidden radio stations.

According to the letter, the two were held in solitary confinement and were held until paying a bail of roughly $30,000 on Feb. 5. All personal email addresses and Facebook pages have reportedly been seized by the government. Looking at Confess’ official Facebook page, the last post was made on Nov. 5, only five days before the two musicians were reportedly arrested.

The individual who wrote this letter did so in hopes that international media would pick up the story and publicize the plight of these two metal musicians.

In Iran, blasphemy law dictates that individuals can be subject to punishments such as prolonged detention, torture and even execution.

METALLICA Is 'Slogging Away' On New Album

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett spoke to Rolling Stone about the progress of the recording sessions for the band's long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic". He said that the group is "moving at a pace that allows us to live our lives and not have our lifestyles change too much." He added that METALLICA has come up with ideas for "a bunch of songs, more than enough songs" but none are finished. "We're slogging away," he said. "But, you know, it's metal. It's heavy."

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone last year that the band has written close to 20 new songs for its long-awaited tenth studio album, although he declined to offer a possible release date for the new CD. Ulrich said: "In our world, there's been a distinct difference between the creative phase and the recording phase. With this project, we're trying to bridge the two a little more organically and not have there be such a great divide between the processes. We want to see if we can bring some of the creative curiosity, the impulsive stuff that happens when you're first playing a song into the studio."

ANTHRAX Hit With $1 Million Lawsuit Over Ugly Hanukkah Sweater

According to the Detroit Free Press, ANTHRAX is being sued by a Detroit artist and businessman who claims the band is selling sweatshirts featuring his blue-and-white Happy Hanukkah design. Aaron Cummins claims he created the original design for "The Ugly Hanukkah Sweater" in 2012 and registered it with the U.S. Copyright Office one year later. He has since been selling the sweatshirt through his Detroit company, Wet House. Cummins claims in his lawsuit that the ANTHRAX Hanukkah sweater featuring his design first popped up online around last September and continues to be sold online at Rockabilia.com

Frankie Blydenburgh, a Minnesota-based buyer for Rockabilia.com, told the Detroit Free Press that Rockabilia.com bought the ANTHRAX Hanukkah sweatshirts from a company called Global Merchandising Services, which is also a defendant in the lawsuit. It's up to the merchandising companies we buy from to get the items cleared and make sure there's no [copyright] issues," Blydenburgh said

Cummins is seeking at least $1 million in damages as well as an injunction to "permanently" stop the defendants from manufacturing, selling or marketing any more products that display the plaintiff's copyrighted Hanukkah sweater design
